Shipping Terms.

This English version is provided for convenience. In case of any discrepancy, the French version prevails, in accordance with Québec's Charter of the French Language.

The shipper remains responsible for the contents of their parcels before the authorities of Canada and of the destination country. These terms supplement the general terms and conditions.

1. Accepted items

• Household appliances and electronics in working order, intended for reuse (including those with a battery built into the device). Devices that do not work or that are intended for salvage are refused: their export falls under the rules governing waste.
• Clothing, footwear, bags, fabrics, bedding
• Household items, dishes, decor, furniture disassembled and packed
• School supplies, books, toys
• Hand tools and equipment without fuel
• Vehicles, under the conditions set out in section 5

2. Prohibited items

• Dangerous goods: gases, fuels, aerosols, paints, solvents, chemicals, explosives, fireworks
• Batteries sold separately, gas cylinders, fire extinguishers
• Weapons, ammunition, weapon parts and replicas
• Medications, drugs, tobacco products and alcohol beyond permitted quantities
• Perishable foods, plants, animals
• Cash, jewellery, precious metals, valuable documents
• Counterfeit goods and goods of unclear origin
• Any item prohibited for export by Canada or for import by Guinea, Senegal or Mali

Engines and generators are accepted only if drained and free of fuel.

3. Packaging and labelling

Parcels must be securely packed: double wall boxes, sealed barrels, fragile items protected. Each parcel must bear the consignee's name and telephone number and the destination city. Inadequate packaging may be redone at the shipper's expense or refused.

4. Declaration and inspection

The shipper provides an exact list of the contents and, upon request, proof of purchase (particularly for valuable electronics). Any parcel may be opened, inspected, inventoried and photographed by RapideTransfert before loading. A parcel containing a prohibited item is returned to the shipper at the shipper's expense or handed over to the authorities where required by law.

A false declaration engages the shipper's liability, including for any fines, costs and delays it causes.

5. Vehicles

A vehicle is accepted only with: proof of purchase in the shipper's name, the vehicle registration certificate or ownership title, the owner's identification, confirmation that the vehicle is free of any debt, and an intact vehicle identification number (VIN). A power of attorney is required if the shipper is not the owner. The vehicle is declared to the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) in the Canadian Export Reporting System (CERS), with its VIN, at least 48 hours before loading: it must therefore be entrusted to us early enough, with all of its documents.

6. Timelines and tracking

Parcels leave with the next available container to the chosen destination. Transit times are estimates. Each parcel receives a tracking number in the format RTC-XXXX-XXXX when it is confirmed. With this number alone, the Track a shipment page shows the steps of the shipment, with no name or amount; details, payments and receipts are in the client area. The client may also request tracking updates on WhatsApp.

7. Pickup at destination

The consignee collects the parcels at the address indicated, upon presentation of the reference and identification. After the free period stated on the receipt, storage charges may apply. A parcel left unclaimed after 90 days, despite our reminders, may be considered abandoned, in accordance with applicable law.

8. Liability

Without insurance, RapideTransfert' liability is limited as set out in the general terms and conditions. It does not cover packaging supplied by the shipper, inherent defects of the items, or decisions of the customs authorities. Duties and taxes at destination are the responsibility of the consignee, unless otherwise stated.
